Why Avantera Elevate Has No Proprietary Blends
Last updated: October 2026 · By Tyler, cofounder of Avantera Health
The short answer
No. Avantera Elevate does not use proprietary blends. Avantera Elevate lists all nine ingredients and every dose on the label, with no proprietary blends, and every batch is third-party tested. Elevate stopped using proprietary blends in July 2025. Every Elevate label since then prints each ingredient with its own amount.
This page shows the full label, explains what a proprietary blend is, lists what changed and when, and tells you how to check all of it yourself.
What is a proprietary blend?
A proprietary blend is a group of ingredients listed on a Supplement Facts panel under one combined weight. FDA labeling rules (21 CFR 101.36(c)) let a brand list a blend's total weight and name the herbs, extracts and other ingredients in it in order of weight, without printing how much of each one is inside.
So a label might say "Focus Blend, 600 mg" and then name six ingredients. You know the total. You don't know whether one ingredient is 500 mg and the other five share the last 100 mg. That is why many shoppers, and many reviewers, treat proprietary blends as a reason to be careful.
The full Elevate label
Here is every active ingredient on the Elevate capsule Supplement Facts panel, per serving of 2 capsules (28 servings per jar), as printed on the label in October 2026:
| Ingredient | Amount per serving | Form on the label |
|---|---|---|
| Bacopa monnieri leaf extract | 300 mg | Standardized to 50% bacosides |
| Rhodiola rosea root extract | 300 mg | Standardized to 3% salidrosides |
| CDP-choline (citicoline) | 200 mg | Citicoline |
| L-theanine | 200 mg | L-theanine |
| Turmeric root extract | 100 mg | Standardized to 95% curcuminoids |
| Natural caffeine | 95 mg | From green tea leaf |
| Organic lion's mane extract | 50 mg | 10:1 extract derived from 500 mg of lion's mane, standardized to 30% polysaccharides |
| Ginger root extract | 30 mg | Ginger root extract |
| BioPerine black pepper fruit extract | 5 mg | BioPerine |
Other ingredients: a vegan capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) and Nu-MAG (rice extract blend). Nu-MAG is an inactive ingredient that helps the powder move smoothly through the capsule-filling machines, which is why it is listed under "Other ingredients". It is not a blend of active ingredients, and it doesn't hide any dose.
You can see the label itself on the Elevate product page (tap "View Supplement Facts"). Each ingredient is explained on our ingredients page.
How this applies to Elevate
Printing every dose matters most for the ingredients people buy Elevate for.
Elevate supports acetylcholine, your brain's memory messenger, two ways: CDP-choline and bacopa.* 200 mg of CDP-choline (citicoline) is a source of choline the body uses to make acetylcholine, and 300 mg of bacopa monnieri (standardized to 50% bacosides) is an herb studied for how it supports acetylcholine activity.*
A cup of coffee's caffeine, with twice the L-theanine for calm, steady focus.* Each serving pairs 95 mg of natural caffeine with 200 mg of L-theanine.
Nine ingredients. Every dose on the label. About $1.78 a day.
What changed, and when
| When | What changed |
|---|---|
| Before July 2025 | Elevate's label grouped some ingredients in proprietary blends, so not every individual amount was printed. |
| July 2025 | Proprietary blends removed. Every ingredient and its dose printed on the label. |
| May 2026 | Lion's mane changed from 100 mg of lion's mane powder to 50 mg of a 10:1 extract derived from 500 mg of lion's mane. It was the only ingredient that changed. Details: the lion's mane update. |
Before July 2025, we used blends to keep our formula safe from copycats. We dropped them as the industry moved to demand more transparency, a move we agreed with.
Printing every dose is one part of how we make Elevate. We source standardized extracts, and the label names the standard for each one, such as bacopa at 50% bacosides and rhodiola at 3% salidrosides. Our products are made in the USA, in FDA-registered, GMP-certified facilities in Utah and Florida, with globally sourced ingredients. Every batch is third-party tested. The supplement industry needs more good actors, and there is no place in it for hidden doses or shady practices.
Elevate Sour Gummies list every dose too. The gummy label prints all seven of its active ingredients with their amounts, per serving of 3 gummies. The two products are compared line by line in Elevate capsules vs Elevate Sour Gummies.
If a review says Elevate uses a proprietary blend
Check the date the review was written. Reviews and articles from before July 2025 describe the earlier Elevate label, which used proprietary blends. Reviews from before May 2026 may also describe the earlier lion's mane form. Today's label is the one in the table above.
If you find a page that describes today's Elevate with a blend or a hidden dose, we would like to know, so we can ask the publisher to update it.
How to check it yourself
- Read the label. Open the Elevate product page and tap "View Supplement Facts". Every active ingredient has its own amount in milligrams. There is no line with a combined weight.
- Read the certificate of analysis. Every batch is third-party tested, and Elevate's certificate of analysis is posted on our quality page.
- Compare with the research. With every dose printed, you, a reviewer or a pharmacist can look up each ingredient and see how it has been studied.
What a transparent label doesn't tell you
- It isn't a clinical trial of Elevate. The research behind Elevate is research on its individual ingredients. Avantera has not run a clinical trial on the finished product. More on this in Is Avantera Elevate legit?
- It contains caffeine. Each serving has 95 mg of natural caffeine, about one cup of coffee. Take it in the morning, within the first hour of waking, on an empty stomach or with a light meal, as the label directs.
- It isn't for everyone. The label says it is not for use in children under 12. Anyone under 18, pregnant, nursing, taking medication or with a medical condition should talk with a healthcare professional first. Do not take Elevate if you have liver disease or elevated liver enzymes.
